A contemporary Japanese garden built into a central courtyard, designed to be enjoyed from inside the home as much as from the garden itself. The layout is minimal and precise, with a custom pond and waterfall creating movement and sound without taking over the space.
THE BRIEF:
Create a Japanese inspired courtyard garden that feels calm and sculptural, with a water feature as the centrepiece. The garden needed to be the centre piece and feature from multiple angles beautifully from multiple angles, suit the modern architecture, and stay clean and minimal rather than overly traditional.
